The complete laboratory furniture solution
Staffordshire University needed a new set of laboratories for its new wing. Birley were asked to project manage all elements, this included installing new storage and fume cupboards, full laboratory facilities and various island units which were fitted with utility service feeds.
Academy delighted with bespoke furniture
Birley installed 17 classrooms with purpose built equipment at The George Salter Academy in West Bromwich, as part of a five-month long refurbishment project.
Working alongside the main contractor we provided an extensive range of modular and bespoke furniture to the science labs, ICT, music and performing arts rooms. This was undertaken in both the existing classrooms, which have undergone refurbishment, as well as in the new purpose built facilities.
First Impressions Count
As part of a major redevelopment of City School, Sheffield, the existing building was partly rebuilt and refurbished.
Birley manufactured and installed new modern reception desks, perimeter seating in the entrance areas and seating with integral bookcases, as well as staff desking in the library.
The University of Sunderland’s science facilities are currently undergoing a major overhaul which will provide state-of-the-art laboratories, research facilities and a ‘living lab’ consisting of a hospital training ward, point of care centre, a high-fidelity simulation suite, examination rooms, a pharmacy, together with teaching hubs, training rooms, seminar rooms and staff offices.
